James Harden rescued the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Boston Celtics.
Harden scored 42 points, with 16-for-23 shooting, including 6-for-9 from 3-point range, and contributed eight rebounds, nine assists, four steals, and a block in 47 minutes.
Philadelphia was trailing before Harden hit the tying shot in the closing seconds of regulation before burying a corner 3-pointer with 19 seconds to go in the contest to lift Philadelphia to a stunning 116-115 overtime victory on Sunday at Wells Fargo Center.
In the previous two games, Harden shot 5-for-28 from the field, but in Game 4 he rediscovered his form.
Philadelphia needed him to do so as Joel Embiid appeared to run out of gas in the game's closing minutes.
The series is now tied at two games apiece, with Game 5 taking place in Boston on Tuesday.
